Maybe Today?

I have just spent the greater part of the day under a bunk bed trying to find Polly pockets back parts!!! Anyhow I have done a clean sweep of the room and I am pleased with the results. The week end is upon us and the blurry of girls going to clubs has begun once again. Tomorrow morning I am meeting Nora, my sister and we are going to the Farmer's market. Not really wanting a farmer but hoping he has plenty of nice to produce to buy.
"Maybe today" is a quote that many people have had on their mantlepiece down through the years. A reminder that we must continually be alert because Jesus is coming again and who knows but maybe it is today. Revelation talks about this second coming but one of the passages that I love about His return is found in 1Th 4:14-18. 14: For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
1Th 4:15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
1Th 4:17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
It is a great encouragement for those of us who have received..make sure you have trusted in Him and no matter whether He should come back or take you from this life you will be ready to meet Him.
